The Salomon Pioneer MIPS ski helmet is made using In-Mold technology. The basis is an outer shell made of polycarbonate shell, which is impact-resistant. The inner shell is made of injected EPS4D foam, which will provide you with the necessary comfort and cushioning in the event of an impact. The advantage of this technology is low weight while maintaining maximum strength.

MIPS® brain protection offers a whole new dimension of security. MIPS is a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows the head to rotate relative to the helmet in an oblique impact. This significantly reduces rotational intensity and possible brain damage.

Salomon's patented EPS4D technology maximizes shock energy absorption and protects against oblique and vertical shocks. Shock absorption is up to 30% higher than is common with other manufacturers. The adjustable system, integrated into the insert, ensures quick and easy adjustment, and the overall durability of the system has increased. In the back of the helmet there is an integrated ski goggle holder, which secures the goggles from possible loss on the piste.
